The variety is native to the Pallars Jussà region in Catalonia. Trees are characterized by low growth vigor, and the fruits are large in size and oval in shape, lacking a pronounced "nipple."

The oil obtained from this variety is rich in chlorophyll and polyphenols, which ensures high stability and a long shelf life. Organoleptically, the product is distinguished by a complex flavor with pronounced bitter and spicy notes.

The variety is used primarily for the production of high-quality olive oil, both as a monovarietal and in blends.
