The variety is a local Italian genetic resource growing primarily in the Umbria and Abruzzo regions. In agronomic registers, Vocio and Olivoce are often indicated as synonyms or closely related forms of the same biological material, while Olivoce is frequently identified with the Cucco variety.
The fruits are medium to large in size, with an elliptical and slightly asymmetrical shape. The variety is characterized by good cold hardiness, but is susceptible to olive knot (olive tuberculosis). Biological features include alternate bearing and a tendency for fruit drop before harvest.

Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
