The variety holds the status of a cultural and gastronomic heritage asset. The fruits are characterized by a pronounced aroma with notes of artichoke, tomato, herbs, and white pepper, the presence of bitterness and a piquant aftertaste, and the length of the fruit can reach 29.35 mm.

Trees can reach a significant age. The variety is distinguished by later flowering under introduction conditions, is used as a pollinator for other Italian varieties, in particular Nocellara Etnea, and contributes to the maintenance of biodiversity in olive groves.
