ActiveOlea europaea L. · Olive
TODOLIVO S.L.
10 August 2026
The variety is the result of centuries of folk selection and adaptation to the climatic conditions of Istria. The name of the variety is due to the external resemblance of its fruits to the fruits of jujube, known locally as žižula.
The plant belongs to hardy varieties. The oil obtained from the fruits has an elegant, delicate aroma; it is used both as a monovarietal product and in blends, including those for oils with protected designation of origin.
The variety is considered rare and represents a valuable genetic resource of the region. Precise data on specific tree height parameters or maturity groups are absent in the sources.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
