The variety represents a classic cultivar type, also known by the names Berliner Halblange, Halblange, Berlinski poludugi, or Berlinska. The plant forms large cone-shaped roots 20–24 cm long and weighing about 230 g with smooth skin and firm creamy-white flesh.
The rosette consists of large dark green leaves. The variety is intended for fresh consumption, use as soup greens, freezing, drying, and long-term winter storage. The plant is characterized by resistance to diseases.
