The Baronie variety is a rhizomatous grass that forms a dense and thick turf. In the classification of turf grasses, it belongs to the group of varieties with a compact growth habit. The variety is intended for the landscaping of parks, residential areas, and sports fields where high wear resistance to mechanical stress is required.

Regarding phytosanitary characteristics, the variety exhibits resistance to powdery mildew. Studies show an average ability for recovery during the summer period.
