The variety is a hybrid of Populus deltoides and Populus nigra. It is actively used in short rotation plantations to produce woody biomass intended for the production of biogas, methane, and other biochemical products.

The plant possesses a high growth rate and good resistance to common poplar diseases. At the same time, the variety may demonstrate sensitivity to late autumn frosts and water deficit, especially when grown on sandy soils during the establishment period.
