The variety is an artificial hybrid of black poplar, also known by the designations TPC-3 or Parvifol. It belongs to the species Populus x canadensis Moench, which is a synonym for Populus x euramericana Guinier. The variety is a female clone with a relatively small volume of propagation.

The wood of this clone is used in the manufacture of upholstered furniture frames, furniture boards, glued beams, plywood, and packaging materials. Identification of the variety is carried out using DNA fingerprinting methods through the analysis of microsatellite markers.
