The variety Adonis is a triploid hybrid of black poplar (Populus × canadensis). The plant demonstrates good productivity and high growth efficiency on both carbonate humus floodplain soils that are not subject to excessive moisture and on wet floodplain soils with periodic moisture.

The variety is intended for silvicultural use, specifically for establishing timber plantations that provide high wood productivity.
