Bigarreau jaune Dönissen

Active

Prunus avium (L.) L. Sweet cherry · Fruit crops

also searched as: бигарреау йауне дёниссен

Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a vigorous tree, obtained as a chance seedling. Fruits have an average weight of 4.5–5.5 g and a broad heart shape. The skin is shiny, wax-yellow or yellow-orange in color. The flesh is whitish, firm and cartilaginous, moderately juicy, with a sweet taste and slight acidity.

Fruit ripening occurs in July. Due to the yellow color, fruits are less damaged by birds, but they are sensitive to mechanical damage during transport and prone to cracking in rainy weather.
