The variety is historical and has been cultivated in the Dolenjska region for over 200 years. The tree develops best on light, well-aerated soils. The variety possesses high resistance to diseases, including rot, and adverse weather conditions, which allows it to be grown without chemical treatments.

The fruits are of medium size and ripen in mid-June. They belong to the group of crisp cherries, distinguished by firm flesh and a sweet taste. The produce is used primarily for fresh consumption and in home cooking.
