The Bruine Waalsche variety tree is characterized by moderate growth and high fertility; it is likely self-fertile. The flowering period varies from moderately early to fairly late.
The fruits have a slightly flattened shape, wider than they are tall. The skin color is cherry-red, the flesh is yellowish-white, with a very soft consistency. The taste of the fruits is sharply acidic, ripening occurs in early July.
