The variety is a vigorous tree, which has traditionally been grown as a standard tree. The fruits are small to medium in size and oblong in shape; their skin is dark purple-brown, and the flesh has a firm texture and sweet taste.
The variety belongs to the late-ripening group; the harvest is collected in July. Economically valuable traits include good yield, resistance to bacterial canker, and a low fruit cracking index. The variety has been used as a parent line in breeding.
