IFG Cher-two
ActivePrunus avium (L.) L. · Sweet cherry
David W.Cain
10 August 2026
The tree is characterized by vigorous growth, a tendency for lateral branching, and early entry into fruit bearing. Requires intensive pruning. The flowering period occurs in the first week of April. The variety is self-incompatible and requires pollinators such as Starking, Van, or Burlat.
The fruits are kidney-shaped or heart-shaped with a mass of 7.6–8.3 g. The skin is dark red, the flesh is firm, crunchy, and has a very sweet taste. Due to the long peduncle, harvesting is simplified, and the fruits have good keeping quality during storage and transport.
