ActivePrunus avium (L.) L. · Sweet cherry
David W.Cain
10 August 2026
The tree possesses medium to medium-high vigor and a compact crown. Entry into the fruiting phase occurs slowly, therefore dwarfing rootstocks are recommended for the variety. The variety is self-incompatible and requires the planting of pollinator varieties that bloom during the same period.
The fruits have a heart shape and dark red glossy skin. The flesh is firm, with a low acid content. The variety has low susceptibility to fruit cracking and is characterized by good keeping quality, with the fruits capable of remaining on the tree for a long time after ripening. The variety has low resistance to severe frosts in late winter.
