Ujfehertoi furtos
ActivePrunus cerasus L. · Sour cherry

The sweet cherry variety Erika is characterized as mid-late, dark-fruited, and high-yielding. It was bred at an institute in York and is widely distributed in European nurseries.
Information regarding the existence of a sour cherry variety named Erika in official registers of breeding achievements is absent. Presumably, confusion arose due to its phonetic similarity to Hungarian sour cherry varieties of the Érdi group or because the name "Erika" refers to a genus of heather plants.
