The tree is medium-sized, reaching a height of 3.5–4.5 meters, and has a broad-pyramidal or rounded canopy of medium density. The variety is not prone to branch bareness and forms fruit-bearing structures on annual and medium-aged branches.

The fruits are large, weighing 6–8 g, with a flattened-round shape. The skin and flesh are dark red, and the juice is ruby-colored. The flesh is juicy and firm, possessing a harmonious sweet-and-sour taste. A dry abscission of the fruit from the pedicel is characteristic.

The variety is of early or early-mid maturity, with the harvest taking place in the second half of June. It possesses high winter hardiness and medium resistance to fungal diseases. The fruits are suitable for transportation, fresh consumption, and various types of industrial processing.

The variety was obtained through selection from seedlings of open pollination of the Hankovszky korai variety. It is often used as a pollinator for other sour cherry varieties.
