The M-15 genotype is being tested within the framework of breeding programs, particularly in Bulgaria, where it is compared with well-known sour cherry varieties regarding yield indicators, fruit quality, and compatibility with rootstocks, such as Prunus mahaleb.
During biochemical studies of M-15 fruits, a high inhibitory effect against xanthine oxidase and specific values for soluble solids content were noted. A specialized description of morphological traits or disease resistance as an independent variety is absent.
