Late-maturing variety, the fruits of which ripen from mid-July to early August. Tree height varies from medium-sized to large; the crown is broadly pyramidal at a young age, acquiring a spreading or weeping shape with age. The variety is self-fertile, demanding of sunlight, does not tolerate waterlogging or heavy soils, and is susceptible to Coccomyces hiemalis.
Fruits are round, weighing from 3.5 to 6 g, with thin dark red, almost black skin. The flesh is juicy, sweet and sour with slight astringency; the stone separates well. The harvest is characterized by high transportability and versatile use, suitable for both fresh consumption and industrial processing.
