The tree reaches a height of 2.5–3 m and has a spreading, flat-round, weeping crown of medium density, which tends to become bare with age. Fruiting occurs primarily on one- and two-year-old shoots.
The fruits are round-heart-shaped, weighing 3.5–6 g, and possess dark red skin, juicy fibrous flesh, and red juice. The variety enters into fruiting in the 2nd–5th year; ripening occurs in the third ten-day period of July.
The variety is self-fertile, has good transportability, and is resistant to gray fruit rot. The fruits are capable of remaining on the tree for some time after ripening. In regions with severe winters, the tree may suffer from frost damage.
