Variety description

The tree is a low-growing form up to 2–2.5 meters tall with a spreading, sparse, and often drooping crown. The branches are curved, extending from the trunk at an angle of about 45 degrees. The leaves are dense, shiny, and dark green.

The fruits are of medium size, weighing about 4–5 g, with a regular rounded shape and firm dark red skin. The flesh is juicy, tender, and has a sweet-and-sour taste. The berries hold firmly to the branches upon full maturity.

The variety is precocious, entering into fruit-bearing in the 2–3rd year and fruiting mainly on annual branches. The maturity period is late: end of July – beginning of August. It is characterized by good winter hardiness down to -34°C and resistance to spring frosts.

The variety is partially self-fertile; to increase yield, proximity to pollinator varieties such as Vladimirskaya or Shpanka is recommended. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and all types of industrial processing.
