The name Langeskov was historically applied to local clones of Prunus cerasus grown in Denmark. These plants were propagated first by root suckers and then by grafting, receiving names based on the locality where the mother trees grew. The fruits were used primarily for industrial processing into juices, wines, and liqueurs.
Morphologically, these clones do not have significant differences from the Stevnsbær group and the Westerleese Kriek variety. Reports from 1961 noted that on Prunus avium rootstock, the trees reached a height of 4.9 meters with a crown diameter of 3.9 meters. Due to confusion in nomenclature, Danish specialists recommend classifying all these clones under the general name Stevnsbær.
