Ujfehertoi furtos
ActivePrunus cerasus L. · Sour cherry
Ujfehertoi Gyumolcstermesztesi Kutato, H
10 August 2026
The variety belongs to the group of dukes, which are hybrids of sweet cherry and sour cherry. In agricultural lists, it is sometimes incorrectly classified as sour cherry, however, specialized studies definitively categorize it as a hybrid.
The plant demonstrates high susceptibility to the fungal disease Coccomyces hiemalis, which manifests as intensive leaf drop. The variety is used for scientific purposes as an indicator plant for detecting the Prune dwarf virus.
