The Läti madalkirss variety is a local clonal population (landrace) of Baltic origin. The tree is characterized by weak growth and thin drooping branches.

The fruits are small in size, round in shape, and colored dark red. The flesh is soft, juicy, dark red in color, and the taste of the fruits is bittersweet.

A mid-season variety, fruits ripen in July, with uneven ripening possible. Possesses high winter hardiness and self-fertility, however, it is susceptible to Coccomyces hiemalis.

A productive variety intended for fresh consumption and various types of processing, including the preparation of juices, compotes, jams, and wine.
