The object is a hybrid of complex composition, including the species Prunus avium and Prunus fruticosa. Its main purpose is to restrict the vigor of the grafted variety, which ensures crown compactness and accelerated entry into bearing.
The rootstock is intended for intensive commercial fruit growing. Trees grafted onto this rootstock can be smaller in vigor than those on the standard Gisela 5 rootstock.
