Variety description

10 August 2026

The Kurzstielige Montmorency variety is late-maturing. The trees form a dense, broad, rounded crown. The fruits are bright red, the flesh is light and juicy, and it has a characteristic sweet-and-sour taste.

The variety is self-fertile. Due to its taste qualities, it is widely used in cooking for making jams, jellies, baked goods, and preserves, and it also serves as a standard for breeding work.
