The variety is low-growing, with a spreading crown and thin drooping branches during the fruiting period. It enters the fruiting stage in the 2–3rd year. The plant has good winter hardiness and is self-fertile, but is susceptible to Coccomyces hiemalis.
The fruits are small, about 1.5–2 cm in diameter, round, and dark red in color. The flesh is soft, juicy, and has a sweet and sour taste; the stone is small and separates easily. Intensely colored juice allows the variety to be classified as the Morello type.
