The name Körösi meggy is used as a folk designation for the Pándy variety type. The fruits of this type are large, weighing 6–8 g, dark burgundy in color with juicy flesh and a harmonious sweet-and-sour taste. When detached from the pedicel, the fruits remain dry. Varieties of this type are prone to self-sterility and Monilinia infection, while possessing high frost resistance.
In some cases, the name Kőrösi korai meggy refers to a separate local variety, which differs from the Pándy group by early ripening in June. This variety is characterized by smaller fruit size, self-fertility, and increased resistance to diseases and pests.

Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
