The variety is a seedling found in the Maikkula area of Oulu. In young trees, the branches are directed obliquely upwards; the tree is characterized as healthy. The variety demonstrates good resistance to climatic conditions, showing no winter damage when grown in zone 4 of Finland.
The cherry fruits have dark red skin and medium red flesh. The juice of the fruits also has a dark red color. The variety belongs to the sour cherry group and is used as a fruit crop.
