The object is intended for use as a rootstock for stone fruit crops. It possesses medium winter hardiness and is adapted for cultivation on dry sandy soils, as well as on soils with a high calcium content.
BM-VA-1 is not a plum variety and does not possess fruit characteristics, such as taste qualities or ripening periods, as it serves as an auxiliary component for tree cultivation.
