The rootstock was bred in the Czech Republic and is also known by the synonym Kando. It is used for growing peaches due to its good compatibility with grafted varieties.

The plant possesses high drought tolerance and is capable of growing on dry sandy and alkaline soils with a high lime content, on which common peach seedlings are prone to chlorosis. Frost resistance is rated as medium.
