The tree has medium vigor and reaches 6–9 meters in height. The variety is self-fertile and capable of withstanding frosts down to -23 °C. The main problem during cultivation is high sensitivity to plum pox virus.
The fruits are of medium size, weighing 16–20 g, have an elongated shape, and a dark blue or violet-blue color with a waxy bloom. The flesh is yellow, firm and juicy, with a sweet-sour taste, and the stone separates easily. Harvesting usually falls at the end of August — September.
The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, drying, the production of jams, marmalades, and the preparation of traditional alcoholic beverages.
