The variety is the result of breeding work by the University of Hohenheim. The tree reaches a height of 5 meters without pruning, and 3–4 meters with professional training. The variety is self-fertile and begins to bear fruit early.
The fruits are dark blue in color, medium to large in size, reaching a weight of about 57 grams with a diameter of 40–50 mm. The flesh is golden-yellow, firm, with a sweet and aromatic taste. The pit separates well from the flesh.
The plant possesses hypersensitivity to Plum pox virus: upon infection, the affected cells die, which blocks the spread of the infection. The variety is intended for commercial cultivation and amateur gardening, used primarily for fresh consumption.
