The tree is characterized by vigorous, strong growth. The variety is self-fertile. The fruit maturity period falls in the second half of September and early October.
The fruits are medium to large in size, spherical or oval in shape. The skin is blue-violet with a waxy bloom, thin but firm. The flesh is yellow-green, tender and juicy; the stone separates poorly. The taste is very sweet, but with low aroma.
The variety is moderately resistant to Plum pox virus, while being prone to Monilinia and gummosis. It is traditionally used for the preparation of distillates and plum butter, less frequently consumed fresh.
