The tree is medium-sized with a dense crown, entering into fruit-bearing in the second year after planting. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness. The medium-sized fruits (25–40 g) have an oval, prune-type shape, dark blue skin with a waxy bloom, and a freestone pit.
The fruit flesh is yellow or greenish-yellow, firm and juicy, possessing a sweet taste with a touch of acidity. The variety ripens in mid-to-late July and is suitable for both fresh consumption and for use in cooking and baking. The plant is sensitive to the Plum pox virus and requires pruning to prevent branch overload from the crop.
