The variety Monsieur Hâtif (synonyms Early Orleans, Ranniy Orleans) is a vigorous tree with upright branching of the crown. The fruits are medium-sized, weighing 40–65 g, and have a round or round-oval shape. The skin is colored dark red or purple, covered with a waxy bloom and reddish-brown dots.
The fruit flesh is bright yellow, firm, juicy, and sweet; the stone separates well. The fruits ripen in August. The variety is high-yielding and partially self-fertile; the presence of pollinators is recommended to increase productivity. The plant is characterized by good winter hardiness (USDA zone 6, down to –23°C).
