The tree is of medium vigor, reaching a height of 2.5–4.5 meters, and has an open spreading crown. The variety is characterized as self-fertile, which allows for harvesting without planting pollinator varieties, although cross-pollination can increase productivity.
The fruits are small or medium-sized, round in shape, and covered with blue-black skin with a possible purple hue. The yellow-green flesh is juicy and sweet; the stone separates easily from the fruit. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption, all types of culinary processing, and drying.
The plum demonstrates high winter hardiness and is adapted to USDA climatic zones 4–7. It is characterized by good resistance to the fungal disease black knot. The fruits ripen in late August — early September.
