The TORGULJA_PLAVA variety is a traditional local plum cultivar that has been grown in the Slavonia region for centuries. In official classifications, it appears as part of the genetic pool of Croatian agricultural plants.
The primary purpose of the variety is processing, in particular, the production of a regional alcoholic beverage — Slavonian plum brandy. A detailed morphological and agrotechnical description of the variety in open scientific sources is limited, as it is considered primarily an object for the conservation of genetic diversity.
