The Egervár rootstock is classified as medium-vigor and provides more uniform growth of grafted trees compared to Mahaleb cherry seed rootstocks. Trees on this rootstock are not prone to root suckering.

The plant has high adaptability to dry continental climates, tolerates heat well and soils with high pH levels. The rootstock is suitable for vegetative propagation by cuttings and micropropagation methods.

When used with sweet cherry varieties, the rootstock ensures good yield, fruit marketability and high economic efficiency of cultivation.
