The variety is a selection form of mahaleb cherry intended for use as a rootstock. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth and a deep root system, which ensures resistance to frost and drought and allows it to grow in soils with low fertility levels.

The use of this rootstock has a positive effect on the development of sour cherry seedlings, in particular the Łutówka variety, contributing to an increase in height, trunk diameter, and the degree of tree branching. When choosing, it is worth considering potential physiological incompatibility with some sweet cherry varieties.
