The variety is a clone of Prunus mahaleb intended for use as a seed rootstock. It is a self-fertile tree, the seeds of which ensure the production of uniform progeny with large elongated-oval leaves and glabrous young shoots.

Under nursery conditions, the variety is characterized by active growth, early leaf fall, and high graft survival rates. Trees grown on this rootstock demonstrate increased resistance to early November frosts and enter the fruiting stage earlier than on other rootstocks.

The breeding of the variety was carried out as part of a program to evaluate local Hungarian forms of Prunus mahaleb. The variety is recommended primarily for cherry orchards due to its ability to limit the growth energy of the scion.
