The variety is a hybrid seedling selected in 1983. The fruits ripen in the summer, approximately 10 days before the Bartlett variety. The trees are distinguished by an upright growth habit and high productivity.
The fruits have an attractive yellow color, smooth skin, and medium size. The flesh is characterized by a fine texture, lack of grittiness, juiciness, and a balanced flavor. The storage life of the fruits is 4 to 6 weeks under standard refrigeration conditions.
The variety possesses high tolerance to fire blight. Suitable pollinators include the varieties Bartlett, Bosc, Anjou, Flemish Beauty, and AC Harrow Crisp.
