The variety belongs to the group of Asian (Japanese) pears. The tree is characterized by moderate vigor, good spur development, and high productivity. Under Japanese conditions, the fruits ripen from early to mid-August.
The fruits have a flattened round shape and yellow-brown rough skin; the average weight is 250–300 g. The flesh is white, soft, crisp, and juicy, with low acidity and no astringency. The variety has high resistance to black spot.
For cross-pollination, it is compatible with Kosui and Shinsui varieties, and incompatible with Akizuki and Shuurei. The variety is also used in breeding as a parent form for developing new varieties.
