ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The Citrangolo variety originates from the Monti Dauni mountain area, Foggia province. The name of the variety indicates the high acidity of the fruits.
The fruits are small, with a weight of 50–70 g, and have a truncate-turbinate asymmetric shape with the maximum diameter shifted toward the calyx. The skin is of medium thickness, waxy, greenish-yellow in color, sometimes with a barely noticeable light red blush.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
