ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The tree is weakly to moderately vigorous with a narrow pyramidal crown. The variety is self-infertile and requires pollinators. Winter hardiness is assessed as medium; covering may be required in northern regions. It possesses good immunity to diseases, particularly scab, although mature fruits are prone to dropping.
Fruits are large, weighing from 250 to 400 g, sometimes reaching 600–800 g. The shape is oblong-pyriform or conical. The skin is smooth, shiny, light green at harvest, and turns yellow upon ripening with a dull red blush and russet dots. The flesh is white or greenish-white, juicy, buttery, and melting.
Harvest maturity occurs at the end of September; consumer maturity occurs 1–2 months after harvest. The variety is of universal table use and is also suitable for culinary processing.
