The variety is a natural mutation (sport) of the variety Clapp's Favorite. The tree is vigorous, reaching 4–6 meters in height, forming a broad-pyramidal crown, which becomes more rounded and sparse with age.
Fruits are of medium or large size, colored red. The flesh is white, tender, juicy, with a wine-sweet taste and aroma. The variety is susceptible to fire blight and requires pollinator varieties, as it is self-sterile.
To obtain a high-quality yield, annual pruning and fruit thinning are recommended. Fruits are used both fresh and for processing.
