CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The tree of this variety is medium- or vigorous-growing, reaching a height of 4–6 m. The crown has a pyramidal shape, which becomes broadly rounded and sparser with age. The fruits are short-pyriform in shape and colored yellow with a red blush.
The fruit flesh has a tender, juicy texture and a wine-sweet taste. The variety is universal in use: it is suitable for fresh consumption, drying, and making compotes. The fruits ripen in late July or August, are prone to rapid shedding when overripe, and have low keeping quality.
The variety is characterized by winter hardiness and undemanding nature. In damp weather, the plants are susceptible to scab infection.
