The Delfrap variety, also known by the commercial name Delbard Première, is intended for fresh consumption. During the ripening process, the fruit shows a tendency to drop immediately before harvest.

In official variety examination methodologies, the plant is used as a reference sample for describing morphological characteristics. In particular, the base of the flower petal of this variety has a heart shape.
