The rootstock was obtained through breeding Pyrus communis (parental forms 'Mora' and 'Volpina'). It was developed to address issues with graft incompatibility, sensitivity to high soil pH levels, and lime-induced chlorosis.
The plant is characterized as moderately vigorous or semi-dwarfing, ensuring controlled growth of the grafted tree. It possesses high adaptability to various soil types, good compatibility with common pear varieties, and contributes to increased yield.
