ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The variety is a winter type, with a ripening period corresponding to the Alexander Lucas variety. The fruits have a yellow-green skin, buttery flesh, and an aromatic taste. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption, making juices and desserts; the plant can be used as a honey plant.
The plant is deciduous and winter-hardy. The leaves are ovate, glossy, dark green in summer and orange-yellow in autumn. The variety is not susceptible to scab, however, it possesses a certain degree of susceptibility to fire blight.
The fruits can be stored in cold conditions until March. Opinions regarding the yield of the variety differ: some sources characterize it as low-yielding, others classify it in the group of high-yielding varieties.
